Reflection

In this post I want to reflect on my work which I was doing during this term. It was short but long way of gaining knowledge in different areas and I am so proud to realise how much I developed myself during this time.

The first thing I would start with is planning and generating ideas. I easily came up with an exact idea of what I would like to see in my project. I also made a good plan, however I could do it earlier than I did. Sometimes it is hard to make an exact plan when you are creating an art work because you never know what will come to your mind today or tomorrow or even in one second. It is a process that you are thinking of all the time and you may change something even in the last moment. 

The next thing which I could improve is my time-management. To be honest, I was supposed to spend more time for learning and finding ways how to shoot everything but I always thought I had much time left which wasn't so. As it is my first portfolio project which I did by myself, I wasn't much aware of how to manage all the details. For example, when it came to the choice of the location, I realized that I don't have really appropriate space in my room with normal light. Nevertheless, I managed to solve this problem and the tripod which I borrowed from my tutor was indeed very helpful. However, it made me think of buying some minimum equipment for future as I will need it in my specialism. Mostly, I struggled during the process of shooting because of some technical details, distractions and the need to make several shoots for being sure that I did it good. 

The last step of my project was to edit it and upload to my website which wasn't difficult. Because I had experience of video editing before, I made it quickly and it was easy as it din't have some special requirements, just joining the videos altogether, adding the text and transitions. 

In overall, I am satisfied with my project in a result. I am happy that I managed to do everything by myself. There will always be something that we need to change, but I think that it is a part of studying process and anyway we should find positive things in our work. 

I don't know what we will do in the next term, but I am really waiting for it and I am sure it will be not less interesting than it was during this one.
