Book Cover Creation: Photoshop

 I am going to make a book cover in the Photoshop. In this post I will show process and details of making the design for my book cover.

I started with creating my canvas. To do that, I went to the top menu, then clicked New and in the dialogue box which appeared, I chose Print and then A4 size. I chose 'portrait' orientation and also checked the resolution which was 300 ppi so the cover will be high-quality. I chose orange background because my book's main theme is future predictions and I associate it with this colour.

I then went to Unsplash to pick few images to add on my cover. I returned to Photoshop and clicked on File and then Open. I added four pictures that I chose and looked which one is better. I decided on one and it seems to me it matches my theme the most.

I clicked on Select in the top menu and then Select all in order to move my mage on the original canvas. Then I went back on canvas and selected Edit in the top menu and clicked on Copy so now I have the image on my original canvas. I then cam back to the canvas and then clicked Edit in the top menu, chose Paste so now I have the image on the canvas. I used Move tool to place the image in the frame. I clicked on Transform image because I needed to adjust the picture to the frame.
