Software Practice: Acting Showreel

I started to create a video using Clipchamp, this was a showreel with three pieces of my acting works. As this pieces were presented by me and I downloaded them from my YouTube channel, so they are copyright free. I used two videos of monologues and one from the performance in my previous theatre studio. There are three whole pieces of my works. To import them into Clipchamp I used the top left-hand menu. I imported three clips that I intended to use from Files.

I then began by adding two Text boxes (Typewriter template) to add my Title with a black background, I adjusted the duration using the right-hand menu and the font to display. I then added three clips cut them to the duration I wanted and rearranged them so that the edit was fairly quick. I then went to transitions in the left-hand menu and added , I didn't need some special transitions because this showreel is aimed to perform myself. I then added three new text boxes at the end, the same as the beginning to add credits. I then previewed everything before exporting it to my computer as an MP4. Once I had done this I added to my YouTube channel and then added here to my blog.

This was a practice and demonstration so it is a little rough and ready but it was a good chance to see how much time it takes and know how to edit my final project.

  1. The second paragraph here is copied from elsewhere and has the formatting from that place - please do not use translators or other forms of copying as this text looks like it has been - also there should be screenshots for software practice
